Huawen Li (Bill) is a talented Chinese jazz saxophonist known for his dynamic performances and exceptional musicality. Holding degrees in Contemporary Music Performance and Jazz Performance from the Australian Institute of Music and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Bill has captivated audiences on international stages.

Bill began his musical journey at the age of nine, winning the inaugural Saxophone Competition. In 2019, he joined Grammy-nominated saxophonist Dave Koz on an Australian cruise tour, significantly enriching his musical perspective.

Throughout his career, Bill has performed at esteemed jazz festivals and venues, known for his soulful improvisations and innovative interpretations. He is also a dedicated educator, teaching saxophone, jazz theory, and ensemble performance, while actively organizing workshops and masterclasses to inspire future jazz musicians.

Widely recognized in the Australian jazz community, Bill’s contributions to music and education continue to inspire both his students and peers.
