Daniel Verschuer
Daniel Verschuer is an operatic tenor, a graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and an alumnus of Pacific Opera. He has portrayed leading roles from operas and operettas such as Albert Herring (Albert Herring), The Magic Flute (Tamino), The Marriage of Figaro (Don Basilio), Fidelio (Jaquino), Die Fledermaus (Eisenstein), The Gypsy Baron (Ottokar), and Pirates of Penzance (Frederick).
At the 2021 Sydney Festival, Daniel featured in director Kate Gaul’s HMS Pinafore, and he has also worked with The Cooperative Opera, Rockdale Opera Company, and Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Sydney.
Daniel has most recently been involved with the special production of the play Amadeus, put on as part of the Sydney Opera House 50th Anniversary celebrations this year. He has been described as “warmly lyrical” and “a charismatic presence”, and has also performed in concert with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, Jane Rutter, and the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra.
