Antonio has nearly 10 years of experience as a concert performer and cello teacher. He commenced cello lessons at the age of 8, under the tutelage of Mr Karol Kowalik (Orava Quartet). At age 11, Antonio was accepted in the prestigious ‘Rising Stars' program at the Conservatorium Open Academy, where he continued his studies under the tutelage of Mr Tim Nankervis, cellist of the Seraphim Trio and Sydney Symphony Orchestra. From 2012-2024, he served as Principal Cello and Foundation Member of L'Estro Armonico String Orchestra, a local youth ensemble that serves to develop excellence in string playing in the Macarthur region of south-west Sydney, and Artists-in-Residence at The Arts Centre, Campbelltown. During this time, Antonio has also had the pleasure of performing with multiple semi-professional and professional orchestras throughout the Greater Sydney area, including Voces Caelestium, Australia-Asia Cultural Orchestra, Modést Orchestra, Sydney Concert Orchestra, FilmHarmonia, SCM Symphony Orchestra & Early Music Ensembles, and Sydney Youth Orchestra.

During his undergraduate studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Antonio has taken a keen interest in chamber and collaborative performance, studying with some of Australia’s leading music educators including Julian Smiles, Ole Bohn, Goetz Richter, David Miller, Roger Benedict, Erin Helyard, Daniel Yeadon, Neal Peres da Costa and Elizabeth Scott - with performances ranging from quartets to historically informed performance.

Antonio currently teaches at several schools across Greater Sydney, and from his home studio in the Macarthur region. His students have achieved outstanding results in AMEB practical examinations, and been awarded scholarships to prestigious local high schools.
