Ms. Peggy Hong
Piano Teacher
Peggy Hong graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with a Bachelor Degree, majoring in piano. She also holds performance diplomas from both ABRSM and AMEB, reflecting her strong foundation in classical piano.
In addition to her academic achievements, she was awarded Second Place in the Shanghai and Hong Kong Youth Piano Competition. As an experienced accompanist, she has worked with both the Australian Chinese Community Choir (ACC Choir) and Key Signature Choir for many years. Notably, under her accompaniment, the ACC Choir won First Prize in the 4th International Choral Music Festival.
With over 20 years of teaching and accompaniment experience, she has taught a wide range of students, from young children to adults and seniors. Her teaching specialises in preparing students for AMEB and ABRSM piano and theory examinations, and she actively encourages students to participate in public piano competitions to broaden their performance experience. Many of her students have achieved outstanding results under her guidance.
Known for her friendly and passionate teaching approach, she is committed to tailoring lessons according to each student’s interests and learning style, ensuring both enjoyment and progress in music.
In addition to her professional teaching, she also volunteers her time to teach keyboard classes for retired seniors, sharing her musical knowledge and giving back to the community.
