Stardust & Divinity

Shaumet Music returns to the Sydney Opera House with Stardust & Divinity — an opera gala that weaves together myth, music, and the human spirit’s eternal longing for the divine.

Tracing opera’s fascination with gods and mortals, the program journeys from Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo and Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice to Dvořák’s Rusalka, Gounod’s Faust, and the mythic grandeur of Wagner, where love defies fate and redemption burns with celestial fire.

In this radiant tapestry of arias and ensembles, ancient legends awaken through the voices of today. Join us in the Utzon Room for an afternoon of luminous sound and mythic wonder — where every note shimmers with both stardust and divinity.
